.Jim Stone

  • Head coach at The Ohio State University for 26 years before retiring after the 2007 collegiate season. Over his final 19 years with the Buckeye program, he established Ohio State as an annual Top 25 team. During that period, Ohio State had an overall record of 394-149 (.726) and a Big Ten Conference mark of 241-135 (.641). He won the Big Ten Conference Championship three times, finishing second five times, third four times and fourth three times. The Buckeyes participated in 15 NCAA Tournaments, advancing to the NCAA Championship Semifinals in 1991 and 1994.
  • 26-year record of 573 wins at Ohio State and the University of Wyoming
  • Head Coach - 2008 USA Youth National Team
  • Head coach for one of the 2007 U.S. Women’s National A2 Teams that competed at the USA Volleyball Adult Open Championships
  • Head coach for the 2007 U.S. Girls’ Youth A2 Team at the High Performance Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
  • Head coach for the World University Games team that competed in Spain.
  • Coached 60 all-conference players, 15 Olympic Sports Festival participants, 37 all-region selections and 22 All-Americans. Four players have played for the Canadian and two for the United States National teams.
  • Coached two AVCA National Players of the Year

Steve Colpus
.Steve Colpus serves as the director of Matchpoint Volleyball. Steve is a former National Coach of the Senior and Junior Women's volleyball teams in England. A 1976 graduate of Southampton University in England as a teacher of physical education, Steve Colpus works with the Ohio State women's volleyball squad as a volunteer assistant coach. He lectured in Sports Science at Redbridge College, in East London from 1982 to 2002. He was the head coach of the most successful women's club team in Great Britain from 1990-98 collecting four National Championships and Cup Winners. He coached OSU's Andrea Pankova (1995-97) while she was a member of his club team. Colpus was the head coach of England's Senior and Junior National Teams from 1996-98. He was voted the Male Coach of the Year in 1997.
